Maasai mara national reserve is one of the major popular reserves in Kenya and Africa at large. It is located in southwest of Kenya along the Great Rift Valley area in Narok county and it is adjacent to Serengeti national park of Tanzania.
Maasai mara national reserve has been described as one of the best wildlife viewing destinations in Kenya. The reserve boost of large number of wildlife species that can easily be spotted such as Big Five which includes lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffalos. Other species includes wildebeest, elands, gazelles, zebras, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes among others.

Maasai mara national reserve also has the Great Migration which is considered the seven world wonder. The iconic migration takes place every yearly in the months of July to October when thousands of wildebeest cross river Mara from Tanzania to Kenya in search of green pasture and water.
